We moved to Wales in 2013, when we were house hunting we struggled to find dog friendly places to stay, which would allow our 4 dogs, that got us thinking!
Our first project was Hafan Bach. Hafan Bach is Welsh for Little Haven and we hope you will agree that is just what the cottage is. The cottage had been empty for many years when we purchased it and it took us over a year of blood sweat and tears to renovate and be ready for our first guests. We worked hard to retain the character of the cottage by restoring original features and cosy feel.
Hafan Bach welcomed its first guests in July 2016. Since opening we have enjoyed meeting guests from all over the UK and further afield. We have been blown away by the positive feedback and are thrilled that many guests choose to return.
The cottage is a 3 bed terrace which sleeps 5, with open plan kitchen diner and cosy lounge, many guests first comment on arrival is that the cottage is much larger than you would expect from the outside. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with king size bed, 1 with double bed and one with a single. The larger bedrooms both have a TV. There is a shower room upstairs and a bathroom with shower over bath downstairs. French doors from the large open plan kitchen/diner open out onto an enclosed, dog friendly garden with outside seating area and undercover BBQ. We have tried to include everything you will need to make your stay a real home from home experience.
In October 2017 we completed the renovation of our second cottage, Ty Clyd. Sadly due to Covid-19 we made the heartbreaking decision to part with Ty Clyd in 2020.
In August 2018 we welcomed our first guests to Hafan Fferi. 10 mins from Kidwelly, in the charming village of Ferryside, Hafan Fferi is a 1 bedroom cottage with king size bed. The cottage is a short walk from the beach and village shop, there is also a train station a short walk away making Hafan Fferi perfect for those without a car. The cottage has an enclosed garden and off street parking
